Breaking the Broken

Written by: Victor Swift

A broken man in a broken home, he broke his dreams, he’s all alone
A broken smile and broken heart is all he has

How come every time you are down,
You get kicked in the teeth, again and again?
I’m not the only one who feels outdone
By the burning agony within

And as each day passes away his vision becomes grey

The breaking of a broken heart is a pity
A broken heart is worth nothing at all
I won’t outspoken; stop breaking the broken

How come the loser prevails while the worthy tells tales,
Of what he coulda’ shoulda’?
They shoot the shot down and then they flee
It’s a modern-day tragedy.

With every hour he turns more sour and soon he’ll be devoured

The breaking of a broken heart is a pity
A broken heart is worth nothing at all
The breaking of a broken heart is a pity
A broken heart is worth nothing at all
I won’t outspoken…
I won’t outspoken; stop breaking the broken,
Stop breaking the broken!
